The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India initiated the FIT INDIA MOVEMENT on August 29, 2019, with the goal of fostering a culture of physical fitness. This movement seeks to instigate a shift in behaviour, transitioning from a sedentary lifestyle to an active daily routine. The success of Fit India hinges on its adoption by the people, turning it into a widespread movement. We must act as catalysts in this endeavour.
During a special event organized by the Sai Nath Shiksha Sewa Samiti, known as the Yoga Mahotsav, young individuals spanning various age groups came together to demonstrate their yoga prowess and promote the principles of health and well-being. This remarkable gathering unfolded within the school’s playground and drew considerable attention, as students took on the role of instructors, imparting yoga asanas to their teachers. The primary goal of this endeavour was to install healthy habits among both students and faculty, thereby fostering physical and mental well-being.
In addition to the school’s own participants, the event welcomed 300 underprivileged students from nearby slums, who eagerly joined in performing yoga asanas alongside the students from Govt. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. The event commenced with warm-up exercises, followed by the execution of various sitting and standing asanas, with simultaneous explanations of their significance. Furthermore, a competition involving essay writing and the creation of slogans cantered around yoga was conducted within the school.
The culmination of the celebration featured a synchronized recitation of slogans and a speech delivered by our esteemed SNSSS president, Mr. Rinku Verma. In his address, he enthusiastically encouraged students to embrace regular yoga practice as a means to maintain fitness and enhance concentration.
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan stands out as the most prominent cleanliness initiative undertaken by the Indian government. Under the program’s provisions, people of all ages were encouraged to participate, including members of organizations. The task involved cleaning the entire area to promote cleanliness, with those responsible for this task also serving as observers. The initiative was initiated by our president, Mr. Rinku Verma, who started by cleaning various areas. Local residents followed suit, with some of us using brooms to clean while others collected scattered wrappers and rubbish, placing them in garbage cans once gathered. We dedicated between two to three hours to this task before gathering in the main park.
In the park, we provided refreshments in the form of apples and bananas. Following this, our president delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and acknowledging the significant role played by cleaners. To conclude, an oath ceremony was conducted to keep our homes, neighbourhoods, and the entire city clean. Each of the individual had a unique experience, and all were eager to be part of this monumental effort as it had the potential to transform the appearance of our nation permanently.
“Har Ghar Tiranga” is a campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, aimed at encouraging individuals to bring the Indian National Flag into their homes and hoist it in celebration of India’s 75th year of independence. Our association with the flag has traditionally been more formal and institutional than personal. Therefore, bringing the flag into our homes as a collective act during this milestone year symbolizes not only a personal connection to the Tiranga but also signifies our commitment to nation-building. This initiative seeks to stir feelings of patriotism in people’s hearts and raise awareness about the significance of the Indian National Flag.
In conjunction with the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,” Sai Nath Shiksha Sewa Samiti organized a rally in the Sultanpuri locality on DATE. The purpose of this rally was to encourage individuals to bring the Tricolour flag to their homes and hoist it in commemoration of India’s 75th year of independence. The primary goal of this initiative is to ignite a sense of patriotism among the people and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag.
In total, more than 500 young participants joined the event, and it received support from the President. Mr. Rinku Verma played a pivotal role as the coordinator of the program, contributing significantly to its success.
“To engage in tree planting is to breathe life into the vision of a brighter world.” – Russell Page.
In commemoration of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration, the Sai Nath Shiksha Sewa Samiti embarked on the “Vriksharopan – Tree Planting Campaign.” This endeavor was spearheaded by Mr. Rinku Verma, the President of SNSSS, in collaboration with fellow staff members, more than 80 students, community members, and dedicated volunteers. A total of over 100 saplings were planted as part of this meaningful initiative.
The primary goal of this event was to promote awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources rather than exploiting them. Neglecting this principle has put us in jeopardy, as it has led to the depletion of the Ozone layer and the formation of the Ozone Hole, ultimately causing global warming and climate change. The only viable solution to this issue, as mentioned in ancient scriptures by wise sages, is to consider trees as our allies in this endeavour. Trees provide us with life-sustaining oxygen, contribute to reducing our carbon footprint, and help safeguard the Ozone layer.
